Our Story
Fallon and Justin are a young couple born and raised in British Columbia, brought together by a shared passion for good food, hands-on problem solving, and keeping family farming alive. They started their mushroom farm with a simple goal: to nourish their community while building something meaningful together on the family farm.
With limited field space — much of it dedicated to hay production — they looked to vertical farming as a smart, sustainable path forward. Growing mushrooms indoors year-round allowed them to make the most of what they had, while tapping into some of the farm’s greatest natural assets: pristine spring water and world-renowned clean air. Mushrooms offered a fresh, efficient alternative to more traditional protein farming, aligning with their values and their vision for the future.
Like many small farmers, Fallon and Justin built the business through equal parts research, grit, and lived experience. Fallon has always been fascinated by living systems — from plants to animals — which led her to earn her Veterinary Technician Assistant diploma and later work in the medical cannabis industry. There, she gained firsthand experience with large-scale indoor cultivation and the precision it requires.
Justin brings a heavy-duty mechanical background, with experience spanning major bridge projects to repairing farm equipment for neighbors. His natural engineering mindset and knack for solving problems have been instrumental in designing and building the farm’s systems from the ground up.
Together, they’re proud to be part of the next generation of family farmers in BC — growing high-quality mushrooms with care, curiosity, and a whole lot of determination.
